Matthew Chapter 21 (Part 2)

1. What does Matthew say about the city of Jerusalem when Jesus entered?

3. Copy Isaiah 56:7. Meditate on this. Record your thoughts and impressions.

Going deeper: How was this not a description of the Temple (Sanctuary) at the time of Jesus? What was happening in the Temple (on the Temple grounds) that Jesus was objecting to? Why?

17. What is the spiritual teaching of the parable?

18. How does Jesus apply the parable to the chief priest and elders in Matthew 21:42-44?

19. What is the reaction of the chief priests and the Pharisees (elders) according to Matthew 21:45-46?
