Leviticus 16

June 27, 2018 by memullin

Read Leviticus 16
1. What was required in order for the High Priest to come into the Holy Place insides the veil (Holy of Holies)?

2. Why did he go in? How often would he go?

NOTE: The day that the High Priest would go into the Holy of Holies was called The Day of Atonement. Today the Jewish holiday celebrating this feast (even though there is no temple, no veil and no Holy of Holies on earth) is called Yom Kippur and it is usually celebrated in late September to early October.

3. What do you learn about the Day of Atonement from Leviticus 23:26-32?

4. What do you learn about Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice from Hebrews 9:11-28?

5. What is God’s promise in Romans 11:27?
