My Heart has a Desire

November 3, 2025 by memullin

My Heart has a Desire

I long to be held
by strong arms
arms that promise safety
arms that promise rest
my protector’s embrace
How could these be human arms?

I seek the arms of my Savior
lifter of my head
breaker of chains
collector of tears
counter of hairs
healer of body
of soul
wonderful
counselor
King of Kings
Lord of lords

My heart has a desire
I seek everlasting arms
