Genesis 18 – Abraham (Part 1)

May 4, 2016 by memullin

Read Genesis 18
1. This chapter opens with a theophany, a personal manifestation of God before the incarnation of Jesus. Describe the time and location of this visit  to Abraham.

2. What is Abraham’s response to the visitors?

3. What promise is made regarding Sarah in verse 10?

4. Where was Sarah when the promise was made? What was her response?

5. Copy verse 14, the first sentence.

6.  What impossible thing is going on in your life that you can’t see anyway around or through? Pray through it using these verses. Ask God to do the impossible in your life, in your circumstances.

7. What dilemma does the LORD reveal to the reader in verses 17 through 21?

8. What does Abraham do in verses 23 through 33? What is the LORD’s response to Abraham?
